SweetLuxe Studios, a creative brand under SweetLuxe Prime Group Limited, is seeking a skilled, creative and professional Drone Operator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing high-quality aerial photographs and video footage for weddings, corporate events, commercial projects, real estate, promotional campaigns and other creative productions.
The ideal candidate must have strong drone piloting skills, a good understanding of aerial cinematography, and the ability to capture smooth, stable and visually compelling footage from different perspectives. Knowledge of camera settings, exposure, composition, flight planning and safe drone operation is essential.
The role also requires the ability to work with photographers, videographers and other creative professionals to deliver aerial content that complements the overall production. The successful applicant should be confident operating professional camera drones, adapting to different environments and weather conditions, and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Candidates must demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, good communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Experience with professional drone equipment and aerial photography or videography is highly desirable.
• Operate professional camera drones to capture high-quality aerial photographs and video footage for weddings, corporate events, commercial projects, real estate and promotional productions.
• Capture smooth, stable and visually compelling aerial footage that enhances the storytelling and overall quality of each production.
• Plan drone flights according to project requirements, location conditions, weather and the intended creative outcome.
• Apply appropriate camera settings, exposure, frame rates, white balance and composition techniques to achieve professional aerial images and footage.
• Perform aerial movements and camera manoeuvres with precision to capture dynamic, cinematic shots from different perspectives.
• Work closely with photographers, videographers and other production team members to coordinate aerial shots and achieve the desired creative results.
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight equipment checks to ensure the drone, batteries, controllers and accessories are in good working condition.
• Monitor weather conditions, battery levels, flight performance and surrounding airspace throughout drone operations.
• Follow applicable aviation regulations, airspace restrictions, privacy requirements and safe operating procedures.
• Organise, transfer and securely back up aerial photographs, video footage and related project files.
• Maintain and care for drones, cameras, batteries, controllers, memory cards and other associated equipment.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to understand project requirements and coordinate filming activities.
• Adapt to different locations, shooting conditions and production requirements while maintaining professional standards.
• Stay informed about drone technology, aerial cinematography techniques, equipment developments and relevant aviation requirements.
• Be available to travel for assignments and work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
• Proven experience operating camera drones for aerial photography, videography or commercial production.
• Strong practical knowledge of drone controls, flight modes, camera operation and aerial filming techniques.
• Experience using professional camera drones and associated equipment to capture high-quality photographs and video footage.
• Good understanding of camera settings, exposure, frame rates, shutter speed, white balance and composition.
• Ability to capture smooth, stable and cinematic aerial footage using appropriate flight and camera movements.
• Knowledge of flight planning, weather assessment, battery management and safe drone operating procedures.
• Understanding of applicable aviation regulations, airspace restrictions, privacy requirements and operational safety standards.
• Ability to identify potential flight risks and make responsible decisions when operating in different environments.
• Good knowledge of transferring, organising and backing up aerial media files.
• Basic video-editing skills and familiarity with professional editing software are an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with photographers, videographers and other creative professionals.
• Professionalism, reliability and a commitment to equipment care and safe working practices.
• Willingness to travel for assignments and work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
• Relevant drone pilot qualifications, registrations or authorisations required for the intended operations must be held where applicable.
• An up-to-date CV and examples of previous aerial photography or videography work are desirable.
